When is Amazon Prime Day 2023?

Amazon has yet to unveil the date for its upcoming Prime Day 2023 sale. Typically, the shopping extravaganza takes place in July, but due to the pandemic, it occurred later than usual in October 2020 and earlier than ever before in June 2021. However, in 2022, it returned to its regular schedule in July.

Amazon usually shares the Prime Day date a few weeks before the event, so keep your eyes peeled! It's like waiting for the cat to return, but patience is key.

Amazon Prime

Amazon Prime is a premium subscription-based service that the company provides. It costs $140 per year, or $15 per month in the US, with a free trial for First-time users for 30 days (only for an annual subscription). Amazon Prime shopping provides many benefits to its members, and Prime subscribers' main benefit is the reduced delivery time of goods bought from Amazon’s website.

Amazon Prime has 200 million+ subscribers around the world. It is a 2-day mega sale with discounted deals on not only top brands. July's Amazon Prime Day is anticipated between July 10 and July 15.

Perks of Amazon Prime:

  • Shipping:

For most things that Amazon sells, free 2-day delivery is available. If Prime customers skip 2-day shipping, they get money to buy music, movies, e-books, etc. Large items don’t have 2-day delivery, but they have free standard shipping (5-7 days). Items sold by third-party sellers don’t qualify for free shipping unless they pay for shipping themselves.

There’s also same-day delivery for thousands of items. This service is only available in limited places, like cities.

  • Groceries:

Prime members get discounts on Amazon Fresh – Amazon's in-house store for grocery items, beverages, household stuff, and other essentials.

Also, Prime Members get discounts and exclusive deals from Whole Foods and fast 2-hour delivery from Whole Foods.

  • Amazon Prime Savings:

Early access to great deals

Amazon frequently makes high-demand items, like a gaming console, only available to Prime members. Also, Amazon gives priority access to Prime members for hot deals before opening them to everyone.

Kindle First

A service that offers Prime members early access to new books and also downloads one free e-book per month.

Just for Prime

These costs are separate, though.

Other than these, all features, including free same-day and 2-day shipping, Prime Photos, deals, discounts, etc., are included in the trial period. Note that any new Student Prime member can discontinue the trial at any time and pay for membership to get all features.

Student Prime members get all the same benefits, offers, discounts, etc., as non-student Prime members. After the Student graduates, they will have to pay the usual Prime membership fee of $140 (per year) to continue getting all benefits of a Prime subscription.

  • Amazon has a referral program related to Amazon Prime Student, which allows a Student Prime member to refer Amazon Prime Student to other students. Amazon has instructions on how you deliver the invite to a fellow student so that they can avail of the Amazon student discount.
